leave games
Although the people who were discussing guilds as not a major factor, I agree with you at the core of it 2 facts remain 1. guild members are not important, 2. game content is lacking.
Played following:
Dark Age of Camelot : best guild PvP greatest raiding fun I ever seen in pvp, boring pve and grind takes to long to pvp, lacks good interface, graphics dated, higher end content not accessible for guilds like Atlantis takes like too many players on at the same time to attempt a quest like 50 or more when you have realms split into 3 and only a few thousand you got to get enough high enders to redo same content is impossible : 1.5 year of play
WOW : best interface I ever seen, lacks instant join and has a grind : 6 months
City of Heroes : best community I ever had, lacks a real strong difference in instances : still play 5 months ...
Lord of Rings: 2 days Lacks everything, boring quests, zero pvp, not a well done interface the only good things graphics & token lore, every single house is a damn instance for god sakes why do instance a house that is like 3 feet wide x 4 feet when nothing is going to happen in it? Just to make me load screens.
Guild Wars : best instant PvP without guild members, best instant Quest satisfaction, world changing events, lacks feeling of progression, zero crafting or community. : Even with IMO the best questing & PvP in-game, guilds and community lacking so much you never even run into any guild members after the first expansion. I ran into one guy in like 2 1/2 years of playing it since each server is cross zoned so your own guild members at the same place can't even see each other he's in district 25, I be in district 50 yet at the same place at same time. quit after 2 years didn't buy last expansion.
