OK, everyone is into their first person and third person MMOs, but what about spaceships?

Something that has been long forgotten has been EVE Online.

Great PvP and great PvE combat in this game... And then there's the fact that you're in charge of an individual ship to fight with. And i'm not talking about a fighter, I'm talking about a cruiser... with fighters you can deploy. Group with people and you can have an ARMADA!

OK, I know I am talking about this game like most people don't know anything about it, but really... when there is a 14-Day FREE TRIAL on offer, how can you say no to some free gameplay? Even if you only played it once and didn't have the chance to keep playing, just get into it and have a bit of fun!

Go to: https://secure.eve-online.com/ft/?aid=101358 for the free trial!

I beta'd it, played every so often but the knowledge that you will never catch up certain people kind of kills it for me

I agree.. But I love the economy in eve, also the community is nice. Mature players and not very much of those n00bpwnz0hrh shouting everything stupid :).

Played eve about ½ year :).

I am wondering about it again, I have played a few times. All trails accept a 3 month sub. never could get into it, it was slow. I am so bored with MMORPGs now & want to be a part of a PvP game with depth. It sounds crazy, but I want to like EvE, I just can't seem to get into it.

I'm finding myself suffering burnout from most games at the moment. I dunno maybe it's just being a gamer for 12+ years that does it, most games won't hold my interest for more then a couple of weeks now as there seems to be nothing original. The last game I played obsessively (which I do with really good ones) was Super Mario Galaxy, and I completed that (as in got the ending, not all the stars etc) within about 2 days

Well there are no MMORPGs, well hardly any out with real none carebear PvP. Shadowbane is old & pop. sucks & then the only one left with a meaning PvP system is EvE or "the prety speedsheet". I hear once you are in the game for 1 year you can start getting to the fun, but that's the prob. it is slow.
