I live in Sweden and have 24Mbit internet. This costs me about $40 per month. Most of my friends have 100Mbit (some even have 1000) and pay exactly the same price.

Keep in mind tough, that this is basically as expansive as it gets. If you want cheaper internet you can pay $12 per month for 2Mbit.

How's this considered "expensive"? What do you guys pay and how fast is your connection?
